telc - the European language certificates

English, German, French, Spanish, Turkish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Polish and Arabic: Telc certificates (The European Language Certificates) are available in 11 languages and at six levels (from A1 to C2). Reading, writing, listening and speaking skills are tested.

The certificates are recognised for the citizenship test (German Test for Immigrants), the subsequent entry of spouse permit (Start Deutsch), admission to institutes of higher education (telc Deutsch Hochschule) and for professional qualification (telc German for work). There are also special tests for school pupils or companies. The examination fees for the German test for migrants are generally paid by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees.
