Responsibility, security and sustainability are the central columns of the KERN Group. In order to fulfil our social responsibility requirements, we have committed ourselves to participating in independent initiatives and certifications, which evaluate us regularly according to international standards.
The following is an overview of our commitments and participation:
For more than half a decade, the KERN Group has been making a Christmas donation to the Clementine children’s hospital (Dr Christ Foundation). This donation helps to directly support the activity of the hospital, which puts families and their youngest members first. As a family company, financially supporting this institution is a particularly important topic for the KERN Group.
The KERN Group has been awarded the EcoVadis Rating Platform for its exemplary economic activities. The certification is based on the compliance to international standards of corporate social responsibility. Four areas are considered in the framework of the evaluation: environment, society, ethics and resource acquisition.
With the implementation of the “Charter of Diversity” the KERN Group aims to create an appreciative work environment – irrespective of age, ethnic background and nationality, gender and gender identity, physical and mental abilities, religion and worldview, sexual orientation and social background. Appreciating and promoting diverse potential produces economic benefits for our organisation.
